Election Results

Who said that few votes do not count? Just this November 6, 2007 election: District 7 in Dearborn Heights. David Mack and incumbent Phil Shannon won the two six year board seats taking 759 and 564 votes respectively. Gilbert Nunez came in third in that race with 551 votes just 13 votes behind the second place winner. Christine Kowalski won the race for the four year-term. She was able to get more than double the amount of vote cast for the incumbent who lost that race by getting only 295 versus her 644 that she got.

Other election news:Dearborn: Both proposals in Dearborn won. The incumbent and Mary Petlishkoff won the Dearborn School District board positions. for detail, you can visit the City Clerk's web site at www.cityofdearborn.org and choose City Clerk from the left side.

For other election results, you can visit the Dearborn Heights clerks' web sites at http://www.dhol.org/clerk/elections.htm

Again in this election we see that few votes in the local school board election was able to be the difference for an incumbent to lose his seat. This proves that just because you are an incumbent, you can not take your constituency for granted, you want to ask them for their vote.
